Tonight's mood...
Light and day is more than you'll say
cause all my feelings are more
than i can let by
or not
more than you've got
just follow the day
follow the day and reach for the sun!
you don't see me flyin to the red
one more you're done
just follow the seasons and find the time
reach for the bright side
you don't see me flyin to the red
one more you're nuts
just follow the day
follow the day and reach for the sun
just follow the day
follow the day and reach for the
you don't see me flyin to the red
one more you're nuts
just follow the seasons and find the time
reach for the bright side
you don't see me flyin to the red
one more you're nuts
just follow the day
follow the day and reach for the sun!
just follow the day
follow the day and reach for the sun!
just follow the day
follow the day and reach for the sun!
This is a song by The Polyphonic Spree called Light and Day / Reach for the Sun. I have to say I just recently got to know this band, and I absolutely love it. They'll be in concert in St Malo on the 14th for the Route du Rock, and I'm sad not to be going to see them, as apparently it's a marvel for the eyes as well as the ears. Well, you can't really expect more from a choir composed of 25-odd people, dressed in the usual choir robes, singing about hope and love? This song is really beautiful, and it fits tonight's mood, which is mellow.
I feel good, even though I spend my days revising and not doing anything much other than that. I guess it's the prospect of starting another school year, my 5th and last one, and doing all I can to enjoy it as much as possible.
It's strange. I look back and I see how much I've changed since last year January. I'm more forthcoming and outgoing (damn I love these long words !) I rid myself of a dead weight that kept me from enjoying this life fully, well two dead weights actually ! First is Christophe, which is the main one, and almost as importantly is the loss of 8 kg of fat, and both of these contribute to me liking myself a lot more than before.
So there goes. I think I believe in The Polyphonic's point of view. Life can be beautiful if we'd just go out there and take the risk to enjoy it. It's a bit like roses, beautiful and prickly. Will you dare seize them even if it may hurt ?
She came back on Tuesday, and I wish you the best of luck my friend. Hope it works out, you deserve to be loved back as much as she is loved.
Another thought for Fanch, who today came back from NZ. I know you enjoyed your time there as much as I did, and that you're at least as sad as I was when I left. The sadness fades away. The memories don't...
